Hospice Information for Physicians
Gulfside Regional Hospice provides the most comprehensive and compassionate palliative and supportive care services for patients and families who are facing life-limiting illnesses. Gulfside Regional Hospice is the only hospice that serves the entire Pasco County area exclusively.
Although pain management and symptom control are the primary clinical goals, hospice care also addresses the emotional, social and spiritual needs of both the patient and their family.
The majority of patients receiving hospice care are able to remain in their homes, but care is also provided in residential care facilities such as ALFs, nursing homes and Gulfside’s Hospice Houses.

Physician Team
Under the direction of our Medical Director, Dr. Clifford Colin, our experienced Hospice physicians are an important part of our interdisciplinary team also consisting of nurses, certified nurse assistants, social workers, chaplains, bereavement counselors and volunteers. Hospice physicians provide specialized expertise in a wide variety of end-of-life issues, including suggesting optimal medications to effectively manage pain and other symptoms. They also consult with area physicians on end-of-life care and work collaboratively with patients’ personal physicians.
